Stetson Bennett and the UGA offense rushed to the Mississippi State 1-yard line and finally scored after six plays. Bennett connected with a wide open Darnell Washington in the back of the end zone from 2 yards out.

The Bulldogs failed to score from the 1-yard line on three plays, but a roughing the kicker penalty on Jack Podlesny’s field goal try gave them a fresh set of downs.

Georgia’s defense has looked even more stout in the second half. Will Rogers has completed just 19 of 33 passes for 147 yards and a touchdown. The lone touchdown came from a sudden, short field situation when Stetson Bennett was intercepted on UGA’s 22-yard line.
